Micro-Mesh Soft Touch 2x2 Sanding Pads are a hand-sanding kit for taking plastics, resins, and softer woods from a scratched or dull surface to a high-gloss finish. They're built for pen turners, luthiers, and finishers working small parts and spot repairs - pen blanks, acrylics, stabilized wood, and solid-surface material - rather than flat panel sanding.
The pack includes nine 2 x 2 inch pads, one each in grit 1500, 1800, 2400, 3200, 3600, 4000, 6000, 8000, and 12000. Each pad has a foam core that flexes to follow a curved or turned surface and carries the same Micro-Mesh grade on both faces, so a pad lasts twice as long before it's spent. Pads are color coded by grit for quick identification, and they can be rinsed clean, air dried, and reused.
Work through the grits in order, rinsing between steps, to bring plastic or resin-impregnated turnings to a scratch-free, high-gloss shine.
