The Carter AccuRight Log Mill is a sled that rides in your bandsaw's miter slot and lets you turn a raw log or a rough, unsquared chunk of wood into square, resawable stock on your own saw. It's built for woodturners and hobbyist woodworkers who want to mill their own project lumber or turning blanks from logs they already have, instead of buying dimensioned stock.
- Heavy-duty steel frame and miter bar with an MDF mounting platform
- Front clamping assembly and rear locking jaw hold irregular, unsquared logs securely for cutting
- Self-adhesive Mylar slide strips for smooth, low-friction travel in the miter slot
- Requires a standard 3/4" W x 3/8" D bandsaw miter slot
Clamp the log in place and cut one face flat, then rotate the log onto that flat face and cut a second face at 90 degrees; once you have two square faces, remove the log from the mill and resaw it into parallel boards against your bandsaw fence.
